Pocket gophers are a running battle. So the surface is rough, I mow a fair amount of dirt, and generally abuse the mower. I bought a used 1995 Grasshopper 721 mower. Paid $4000 (Canadian) Overall I've been quite satisfied with this mower.

WebJul 23, 2024 · The pump is a variable displacement type and the pump rotor relies on the moveable cam ring to function. The motor is a fixed displacement and has a stationary cam ring cast in to the units housing. If your unit is losing power, it could be bad check valve spring/springs, worn motor or pump rotor or other internal components.
